At Unveil, we believe AI should help research teams work faster while maintaining customer trust, privacy, and control. This AI Transparency Statement explains how we use artificial intelligence within our Services and how customer data is handled when AI-powered features are used.
1. How We Use AI
Unveil uses artificial intelligence to assist with research operations and workflow automation. Depending on the features you use, AI may help with:
-
Identifying and recommending research participants
-
Drafting communications, summaries, or research content
-
Organizing and analyzing research data
-
Automating administrative research workflows
-
Answering natural language queries and assisting with platform navigation
AI is designed to assist users—not replace human judgment.
2. AI Providers
Unveil uses enterprise-grade large language model (LLM) providers to power AI features within the Services.
These providers process information solely to deliver the requested functionality and are subject to contractual obligations designed to protect customer data.
3. Customer Data
AI features process only the minimum information required to fulfill the requested functionality. Where AI processing is required, Unveil transmits only the relevant contextual information necessary to generate a response. Participant personally identifiable information (PII), including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and other direct identifiers, is not transmitted to LLM providers.
Unveil does not sell customer data or use customer data for advertising.
4. Model Training
Unveil does not use Customer Data to train publicly available or general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
Where third-party AI providers are used, Unveil uses enterprise services that contractually prohibit customer data from being used to train foundation models, except where you explicitly instruct otherwise or applicable agreements provide otherwise.
5. Human Oversight
AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or biased results.
Customers are responsible for reviewing and validating AI-generated outputs before relying on them for research, business, legal, regulatory, or other significant decisions.
6. Security and Privacy
We apply industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect customer data, including:
-
Encryption in transit and at rest
-
Role-based access controls
-
Audit logging and monitoring
-
Secure software development practices
-
Vendor security assessments
Our use of AI is subject to our Privacy Policy and other applicable security controls.
7. Responsible AI
We are committed to developing and using AI responsibly.
Our approach is guided by the following principles:
-
Transparency about how AI is used
-
Protection of customer privacy
-
Human oversight of AI-generated outputs
-
Continuous evaluation and improvement of AI features
-
Compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws
